Hello from Pin Up and Pearl

Why hello there!

This is just a quick post to introduce myself and give you a little information about my plans for this blog.

My name is Sarah. I am the owner, maker, manager, admin, sales person and blog writer at Pin Up and Pearl, a small business that I began in May 2017. Initially, I ran it around my full time job in admin, but in October 2018 I gave birth to my son and have since run it around being a stay at home mum. I've always been creative and need to have a craft project on the go and have had an interest in vintage/pin up fashion ever since I based my textiles GCSE project on 1950's fashion many moons ago, so Pin Up and Pearl was the perfect way to combine the two passions.

My interest in Pin Up fashion continues to grow. I still feel like I am very much at the beginning of my Pin Up journey. I'm slowly getting better at styling my hair and doing my make up and, though there are certainly days with the baby where I'm all about the leggings and baggy tops, most of my wardrobe has a pin up and rockabilly vibe to it. I'm also getting over my hatred of having my photo taken! This blog will be all about my pin up journey, as I get better at doing the hair and make up and more confident with myself, as well as any awesome vintage finds, vintage events that I go to and also my creative endeavors for my Etsy shop. Well, a girl's got to have a hobby!
